Think tank says country is not given enough credit for progress – and that criticisms of worker pay and factory safety are unfair
NEW YORK - Bangladesh's garment industry has undergone a transformation since the Rana Plaza disaster to become a "model for ethical, sustainable, and resilient manufacturing", according to a new report.
The Center for Media and Peace Initiatives (CMPI) nonprofit, which enjoys special consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), claims Bangladesh does not receive enough credit for its progress.
