Cambodia garment sector at risk from tariff uncertainty

Nearly half of a Cambodia’s garment and footwear factories anticipate difficulties in sustaining current operations beyond three months with current order levels amid the ongoing tariff uncertainty, a new report suggests.

The report from the Better Work NGO, ‘Assessing the impact of tariff uncertainty on the garment, footwear and travel goods sector in Cambodia’, also shows that 66% say business revenue is fully dependent on export sales, while 27% say that existing buyers have requested reduced pricing for orders in 2025,
