As the textile sector seeks next-generation fibres to decarbonise supply chains and add new functionality to technical products, new research shows how generative AI can accelerate the discovery of these materials.

The new work published in scientific journals, Nature and Nature Machine Intelligence involves Microsoft, academia and the private sector which developed generative AI foundation models focused on materials discovery.
