Modest increase awarded by government amidst difficult economic climate with soaring inflation and the impact of US tariffs
PHNOM PENH — Workers in Cambodia’s garment, footwear and travel goods sectors will be given a slight increase in their minimum wage - from $208 to $210 per month - from 1st January.
Civil society groups and trade unions had demanded a hike from $208 to $232, arguing that workers were struggling to make ends meet amidst soaring inflation, reduced overtime and rising debt.
