Canada textile sector to tap into new bid to cut plastic waste
Government initiative aims to develop solutions to tackle issue following public consultation on textile and apparel roadmap
QUEBEC — The Canadian government has announced fresh support of over CA$3.4 million to reduce plastic waste and pollution, including in the textile and apparel sector.
Through the Advancing a Circular Plastics Economy for Canada initiative, 13 organisations in the country will receive more than CA$1.8 million to develop solutions that will help tackle the issue.
