Industry bodies offer guidance on cotton LCAs

GENEVA - Four major multistakeholder initiatives have come together to commission a report which aims to guide the fashion and textiles industry on the use of life cycle assessments to assess the environmental impacts of cotton.

The Better Cotton Initiative, Cotton Incorporated, Cotton Australia and the US Cotton Trust Protocol funded the report, produced by consultancy Earthshift Global, which argues that LCAs are often misused across the apparel sector.
