BRUSSELS - A closed-loop recycling project claims to have demonstrated that textile circularity is both technically feasible and commercially viable by transforming 24 tonnes of post-consumer waste into nearly 50,000 garments.
The eight month initiative claims to have established a fully European value chain with collection and sorting in France, recycling in the Netherlands, and spinning and knitting in Italy.
