Textile MMCF producers are among those being urged to apply to road test the SBTi’s updated timber and wood fibre pathway

LONDON - The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is inviting producers of wood-based man-made cellulosic fibres (MMCFs), such as viscose and lyocell, as well as those sourcing paper and other timber-related products, to pilot test its revised timber and wood fibre pathway.

The updated pathway, included in the SBTi's Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) Target-Setting Tool, is designed to help companies set robust, science-based climate goals specifically aimed at tackling land-based emissions linked to forestry and wood fibre production.
