ROME - Subsidies are far more effective than taxes as financial incentives to nudge consumers away from fast fashion and towards more sustainable alternatives, according to a new study by researchers at Sapienza University of Rome.
The study, published in the Business Strategy and the Environment peer-reviewed journal, aims to sheds fresh light on how environmental taxes and subsidies can influence circular fashion models and sustainability targets.
