Research in Bangladesh has found that the effects of climate change are affecting productivity in its garment industry
DHAKA – A study conducted in Bangladesh has warned that climate change is already denting production in the country’s garment factories as rising temperatures reduce worker productivity.
The research, titled ‘Global Value Chains and Climate Change Governance: Garment Producers' Futures’, says excessive heat inside factories poses a major barrier to social upgrading.
