Portuguese textile firms boost eco practices – report

CITEVE’s latest sustainability report highlights significant increases in environmental certification and use of sustainable raw materials

MINHO – The Portuguese textile and clothing industry is making significant advances in its adoption of ESG practices, with more certification and reporting and a greater use of sustainable raw materials, according to the third sustainability report from industry body CITEVE.

The study was produced as part of CITEVE’s be@t project, which is focused on the ‘Bioeconomy in Textiles’ and supported by Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Programme (RRP).
