Brands that fail to embrace ‘next gen’ inputs will face higher costs, supply disruptions and reputational exposure, warns new briefing

GLOBAL - Wood-based fibre supply chains face a “riskier and more volatile” future as climate shocks, land competition and new regulations collide with surging demand from textiles and packaging, a new report warns.

The briefing, from the Canopy NGO and environmental impact investors Finance Earth, urges brands to rapidly scale circular and so‑called 'next gen' fibres or face higher costs, supply disruptions and mounting legal and reputational exposure.
