Europe ‘losing its textile industry’ – Euratex

BRUSSELS - Europe’s textile and clothing sector has recorded a third consecutive year of decline across production, turnover and employment, prompting a stark warning from Euratex.

The industry body is calling for urgent action from the European Union to help the sector address challenges including high energy costs, "unfair" online competition and a growing regulatory burden.
