Chemical-free cleaning for rPET production

Textile machinery manufacturer BB Engineering has developed a new filter technology that removes the need for chemicals at the recycled polyester fibre extrusion stage.

The automated inline cleaning process, known as Cobra, is able to separate contaminants from the polymer slurry, prolonging the life of the filters and reducing the need for labour-intensive cleaning processes.
