NEW YORK - The Ralph Lauren Corporation has announced a commitment to use 100 per cent renewable energy in its offices, distribution centres and stores by the year 2025.
It plans to achieve this target through a combination of virtual power purchase agreements (VPPAs) in North America, by assessing some of its US sites for solar power installation, and by purchasing Green Power Products.
Ralph Lauren has also signed the UN Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, which involves a commitment to reduce GHG emission reductions by 30 per cent by 2030, and joined the RE100 group of businesses committing to the use of renewable power.
