BÖNNIGHEIM - The Hohenstein textile research group has completed the development of a new method for analysing microfibre shedding from textiles which it says will shed new light on the issue.
Using dynamic image analysis, the method quantifies shedding behavior and reveals previously unattainable data with practical implications for material development throughout the supply chain.
The new method, the result of four years of research at Hohenstein, is published in an article by lead scientist Jasmin Haap in the peer-reviewed Water open access journal on water science and technology.
