EDINBURGH – Scottish fashion initiative Lost Stock has faced questions from disgruntled shoppers, which say that the items they’ve received do not equate to the promised combined value of £70.

The team behind Lost Stock, which also owns the shopping app Mallzee, has thus far sold over 100,000 boxes of clothing, with 37 per cent of the proceeds going to Bangladeshi factory workers that have missed out on payments due to cancelled brand orders midst the pandemic.

With the premise that shoppers can purchase a mystery box comprising a minimum of three items at a discounted rate of just £35, whilst supporting impoverished workers, some have been underwhelmed with the service disregarding customer preferences and shipping items that hold little value.
