NEW YORK - The Transformers Foundation, which span off from the Kingpins denim trade shows earlier this year, has put forward proposals to fix fashion's broken supply chain in its first white paper.

Entitled 'Ending Unethical Brand and Retailer Behaviour: The Denim Supply Chain Speaks Up', the report identifies how brands, retailers, and importers "walked away from their commitments" to denim suppliers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Transformers Foundation says it marks the first time the denim supply chain has spoken up — with one voice — about their experiences during the crisis and what they need from brands, retailers and importers.
