BEIJING – As many as 57 Chinese textile and fashion companies have come together to launch the ‘Climate Stewardship Accelerating Plan’, a new nationwide initiative with a mission statement of achieving climate neutrality. 

The framework appears similar to the existing United Nations’ Fashion Charter, which aligns industry stakeholders around common targets, but says it will work towards a 2060 target, as opposed to the Charter’s 2050 deadline for net zero.
