VANCOUVER – Environmental non-profit Canopy has updated its EcoPaper Database (EPD) to include more than 500 new listings of paper and packaging solutions made from ‘next-generation’ alternative materials.

With more than 1,100 options available, the database helps signatories of its Pack4Good initiative, which tasks brands and retailers across industries including fashion with adopting paper and packaging solutions with a lesser impact on the environment.

Executive director of the Canadian outfit, Nicole Rycroft, commented: “We are proud of the fact that at Canopy, we not only collaborate with our partners to keep ancient and endangered forests out of their supply chains, but also provide the tools and data to find lower footprint alternatives.”
