MIDDLEFIELD – Denim apparel group Citizens of Humanity has partnered with regenerative agriculture specialist Advancing Eco Agriculture (AEA) in a commitment to adopt cotton grown using regenerative farming practices.
Over the next harvest season, the group’s brands – Citizens of Humanity, Agolde and Goldsign – have agreed to purchase more than 450,000kg of cotton from AEA’s network of producers.
“Partnerships and projects such as these help regenerative growers sell their crops to deliver value-aligned products that consumers are looking for. The shift to regenerative is well underway and will bring more regeneratively grown materials into the supply chain and ultimately to consumers,” commented Eric Girdler, AEA’s chief operating officer.
