LONDON - The Better Cotton initiative is piloting a number of digital and physical traceability solutions in India in a bid to boost transparency across cotton supply chains.

Better Cotton is working with four specialist companies - Retraced, TextileGenesis, Haelixa and Tailorlux - to determine the best way to offer improved traceability to its members.

The pilot studies are being conducted with leading brands and retailers, including C&A, Marks & Spencer, Target and Walmart, to see how each technology tracks cotton as it moves through their supplier networks.
