PARIS - French prosecutors have dropped an investigation into fashion giants Uniqlo, Inditex, SMCP and Skechers over the alleged use of forced labour in their global supply chains.

The case, brought be an alliance of NGOs in 2021, accused the companies of being complicit in "crimes against humanity" by sourcing cotton from the Xinjiang region of China.
