TÜBINGEN – High fixation reactive dyes that need less water and energy in post-dye wash compared to conventional reactive dyes were among the stand-out innovations in textile chemistry at the recent ITMA in Milan.

On its booth in hall 5 at the show, CHT talked visitors through its new Bezaktiv One reactive dye system for cellulosic fabrics that covers a broad colour spectrum due to high colour yields in a dyeing process which it says is much shorter and more cost-efficient.

The company also showed a range of fabric samples dyed with a potential new alternative to traditional pigment dyeing that it’s developed in partnership with Inditex – and which has also undergone commercial trials elsewhere.
