TEXAS – Textile Exchange has just closed its first consultation on a proposed new unified environmental standard for textile materials, which would integrate its own ‘Climate +’ carbon reduction strategy.

The scope of the new ‘Unified Standard’, which could be released as early as 2025, would impact other, existing environmental standards, but takes an inclusive ‘recognition’ approach as a way to evaluate and accept external programs that align with its own stated goals.
