WASHINGTON DC – A new attempt is being made to introduce US legislation which would outlaw piece-rate pay for garment workers and encourage the country's fashion industry to reshore its supply chain.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Congressman Jerrold Nadler reintroduced the Fashioning Accountability and Building Real Institutional Change (FABRIC) Act which was first introduced last year but failed to make it onto the statute book.
