OTTAWA - The Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE) has launched an independent fact-finding investigation into allegations of Uyghur forced labour in the supply chain of Zara’s Canada-based operations.
The decision to investigate follows the completion of an initial assessment report on the subject, which relates to a complaint filed by a coalition of 28 civil society organisations and other NGOs in June 2022.
