INARZO - Italian biomaterials start-up Mogu - soon to be rebranded Sqim - has successfully completed an €11 million ($12m) Series A funding round, with support from French fashion giant Kering, to scale its mycelium-based technology.

Mogu will use the investment to launch a demo production plant, expand its team and increase its research and development of products based on mycelium - a root-like network of fungal threads - for markets including fashion and automotive.
