HERZOGENAURACH – Following a two-year pilot project, sportswear giant Puma is to make a commercial version of its compostable Re:Suede sneaker available for sale.

As part of the experiment, which was successfully concluded in late 2023, Puma produced 500 special pairs of its suede sneaker using thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), hemp fibres, and chrome, heavy metal and aldehyde-free Zeology-tanned suede.
