Bid to tackle migrant worker abuse in Taiwan textile mills

WASHINGTON DC – The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) and the Fair Labor Association (FLA) say their member brands are working with textile mills in Taiwan to address forced labour risks facing migrant workers.

They have set up a working group, in collaboration with the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), to agree metrics for the responsible recruitment and employment of migrant workers in textile mills which is to hold its first meeting next month.
