American Apparel & Footwear Association and Fair Labor Association urge new US Secretary of Labour to preserve worker rights programmes
WASHINGTON DC – The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) and the Fair Labor Association (FLA) have made a joint plea to the new US Secretary of Labour, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, to preserve the Bureau of International Labor Affairs' (ILAB) programmes to defend worker rights.
In a joint letter, they congratulate Chavez-DeRemer on her appointment - which was this week confirmed by Senate - but made a firm call on her to "fully preserve and promote" ILAB's work on behalf of workers in the US and in global supply chains.
