Three industry experts come together in bid to offer fully traceable ‘sustainable’ cotton from eastern China

SHANGHAI / AMSTERDAM — A new programme promising fully traceable sustainable cotton from China's Shandong province has been launched in a bid to meet digital product passport (DPP) requirements.

The 1,500 tonne pilot claims to offer visibility from seed planting to final textile product, and aims to offer cotton that is sustainably produced in terms of both environmental impact and farmer welfare.
