Established in 2003, Paltex, is a high-performance fabrics and solution supplier from Taiwan, that provides textiles and cutting-edge finishing technologies for man-made fabric innovation.
It has recently developed a new way to transform plastic into a versatile, replenishable resource through an unprecedented purification process.
At the heart of this process is PureCycle a bio-polyester that merges Carbon Capture Utilisation (CCU TECH) with a mono polymer design.

CCU TECH: Converts CO₂ waste into functional polymers
This new generation of bio-polyester fibre is made by converting CO2 into ethanol, which is then processed into bio-based monoethylene glycol (Bio-MEG). This Bio-MEG is then combined with terephthalic acid (PTA) to create a polyester fibre with 30% bio-based content.
Studies show that its overall carbon footprint is 16% lower compared to virgin PET.
Mono-Material: CCU POLY + 50% GRS-certified PET film + PET glue bonding
By replacing traditional polyurethane (PU) film with recycled PET film (containing 50% GRS-certified recycled content) and using PET adhesive glue for bonding, PureCycle delivers a 100% recyclable structure while significantly reducing its carbon footprint.
Mechanical Stretch: No elastane, full performance
Moreover, elastic fibres are replaced with mechanical stretch, ensuring high performance without compromising recyclability.

100% Recyclable: True circular composition
Through the integration of CO2 Pure film and CCU Yarn into outdoor performance textiles, Paltex not only diminishes the reliance on finite natural resources but also reduces the requirement for petroleum and fossil fuels. It goes beyond mere carbon dioxide capture and storage, as it facilitates reuse, contributing to the reduction of production’s carbon footprint while also fostering sustainable economic value.
It’s 100% recyclable nature makes it a truly circular option for polyester fibre and fabric innovation to lower environmental impact.
