New study backed by luxury fashion group Kering says that manufacturers in Asia are not doing enough to manage water responsibly
ASIA - Corporate water stewardship in supply countries in Asia remains at a “nascent” stage despite mounting physical, regulatory and reputational risks from worsening water stress, according to a new study.
The report, by the Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School in partnership with luxury fashion company Kering, calls for time‑bound, science‑based freshwater targets aligned with local river basin thresholds rather than generic efficiency goals.
