A new study warns that consumption of fast fashion in the UK and EU is undermining global economic development and climate efforts  

LONDON / BARCELONA – Extraction Fashion, a new report published today by War on Want and Research & Degrowth International (R&DI), has issued a severe warning over the extent of UK and EU-bound fast fashion’s drain on Global South resources and human labour.

According to new data in the report, more than 5 million years of human labour, and land larger than Great Britain and Belgium combined were used to produce clothing and footwear for the UK and EU in 2021 alone.
