Researchers in South Korea claim to have discovered a water-treatment method that removes microplastic pollution within 10 minutes
SEOUL – Researchers at Pusan National University say they have developed a water-treatment method that removes microplastic pollution in minutes by drawing the particles together with a magnetic field.
The approach, presented in the peer-reviewed Journal of Environmental Management, is said to eliminate more than 95% of micro and nanoplastics within 10 minutes by using plate-shaped iron-oxide magnetic nanoparticles.
