The European Outdoor Group shifts its Carbon Reduction Project into a new delivery phase, targeting renewable energy adoption in Vietnam as its Race to Zero mandate starts to take effect.

The 2026 programme aggregate demand for renewables and help factories navigate options.

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) is preparing to launch a new phase of its Carbon Reduction Project that will target renewable energy uptake in Vietnam’s outdoor apparel supply chain from 2026. The work – which will be open to both members and non-members – reflects Vietnam’s growing role as a key production hub and the emergence of viable options such as onsite solar and renewable energy certificates in the country.

In late 2023, EOG members voted to make participation in a UNFCCC‑approved Race to Zero initiative a condition of membership by the end of 2024, embedding net-zero aligned climate targets across the association. An evaluation carried out in early 2025 found that around 65% of members were either fully committed to its Race to Zero pathway, in the process of joining, or had already set some form of science‑aligned target.
