BCI posts update on new certification model

GENEVA - The Better Cotton Iniitative (BCI) has revealed that more than 3,000 cotton farms and producer units have been certified since it became an externally verified standard one year ago.

BCI says that more than 30% of farms and producer units supplying BCI Cotton had so far received a positive audit outcome. So far less than half have been assessed in what is a gradual process due to the scale of the task.
