The OECD will hold its first regional forum on due diligence in the garment and footwear sector in Asia during the week of 5th April 2027 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Hosted by the Royal Government of Cambodia, the event will bring together representatives from government, brands, retailers, manufacturers, trade unions, civil society, academia and international organisations.
Discussions will focus on the implementation of responsible business conduct and due diligence across garment and footwear supply chains in Asia.
The forum will centre on the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector, with the aim of supporting alignment between governments and industry initiatives on expectations of business.
The International Labour Organization’s Better Work Asia Regional Partners’ Forum will take place back-to-back in the same week.
The OECD said the regional edition – the first of its kind – will be held close to production facilities, offering stakeholders direct engagement with sourcing country contexts.
Further details on the agenda and venue are expected in the coming months.
