Leaked EU act ‘targets product rules’

A leaked draft of the European Product Act could replace the EU’s 2008 New Legislative Framework and market-surveillance rules with one regulation.

According to law firm Cooley, which claims to have seen the draft, it would require digital product information to be registered before products enter the EU market.
