Textile and leather certification body Oeko-Tex has partnered with Human Chemical, which develops artificial intelligence (AI) agents for chemical safety assessment.
Human Chemical's platform searches scientific literature, runs specialist chemistry and regulatory tools and writes cited reports. Its functions include hazard screening of chemical ingredients, checks against major apparel and retail restricted substances lists (RSLs), draft safety data sheets and sections for REACH registration dossiers.
