US apparel and textile imports rise in first half of 2025

The US Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) says textile and apparel imports increased by 5.88% in the first half of 2025 (January-June) compared to the same period last year.

It says key drivers include inventory restocking as US brands and retailers increase orders following cautious buying in previous years, while online retail growth also boosted demand.
