Responsible sourcing programme says family support, grievance channels and inclusion can reduce turnover across Asian apparel and textiles supply chains
LONDON — Apparel and textile suppliers can achieve returns of three to six times their investment in worker wellbeing initiatives over five to 10 years, according to a new report from the the Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP).
The non-profit's 'State of Worker Well-Being 2026' report said the reported returns reflect lower turnover, absenteeism, onboarding costs and injury rates, alongside improved production efficiency.
