Four workers have died and two were injured in a fire at a shoe factory in Delhi's Mangolpuri Industrial Area on 30 October.
According to reports in The Indian Express and Hindustan Times, the blaze began in the basement, while blocked exits, obstructed staircases, sealed windows and inadequate ventilation reportedly prevented workers from escaping the smoke. The factory also allegedly lacked fire clearance.
