NEW YORK – Virtual tailoring company Hemster has launched a new bid to reduce fashion waste and extend the life of clothing by offering a garment repair service for consumers.
Hemster’s Garment Rescue Kits are available to people in the US who can use them to have up to four items of clothing expertly repaired for US$40.
The company says the service is part of its ambition to add 20,000 years of life to clothing garments by the end of this year.
