AMSTERDAM - Organisers of a fund which provides long term finance for sustainable manufacturing in textile and garment factories in India and Bangladesh say their first investment is paying off.
The Good Fashion Fund - an investment programme initiated by the Fashion for Good NGO and the Laudes Foundation - provided a US$4.5 million loan to Indian manufacturer Pratibha Syntex Limited in 2020.
This week, the first on-site monitoring visit took place in which the Good Fashion Fund - supported by advisors Sphera, Fairwear Foundation, Global CAD and Adelphi - sought to establish progress made so far.
