LENZING - Austrian fibre manufacturer Lenzing has linked up with supply chain solutions company Project44 to launch a real-time ocean shipment tracker in a bid to improve transparency of carbon emissions.

The tracker is designed to provide Lenzing's customers with access to Scope 3 carbon emission data, accredited by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) framework on shipment and container level, to help them achieve their carbon emission targets.

Enabled by artificial intelligence (AI), GPS sensors and machine-learning technologies, it claims to offer accurate real-time insights on fibre orders, ranging from shipment status and container location, to route tracking and estimated arrival times at ports.
