Sportswear brand On is facing claims of greenwashing over the recycling rates being achieved under its ‘Cyclon’ sustainability programme

ZURICH – Switzerland’s largest consumer protection association, the Romandy Consumers Association (FRC), has raised questions over environmental claims made by sportswear brand On in marketing campaigns.

The FRC’s complaint centres around On's ‘Cyclon’ programme, a subscription-based system where customers pay a monthly fee in exchange for shoes. Once the shoes start falling apart, they can be sent back to On, which will then send replacement.
