SAN FRANCISO - Artificial intelligence platform ChatGPT is adding online shopping features to its services to help consumers compare products, including fashion.

Parent company OpenAI said the update would make it "faster to find, compare and buy products", but some commentators expressed fears it could contribute to over consumption.
