US Footwear Manufacturers Association calls for government to invest tariff revenue in domestic sector
The United States Footwear Manufacturers Association (USFMA) has written an open letter to President Trump urging him to channel a significant portion of revenue from new tariffs on imported footwear into modernising and expanding the domestic footwear supply chain.
The proposal calls for a one-time investment of $5 billion, matched with private sector capital.
